Style: Yamagata-kei
Yamagata-kei Kokeshi have their origins in Yamagata City. Unlike other types, they didn't develop in hot spring areas, but rather in the city.
They are characterized by their round heads, slim bodies, and tapered bottoms. On the top of the head, a single line of hair is drawn. The plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, etc. are painted on the body.
