土湯系
Style: Tsuchiyu-kei
Pioneered by woodworker Kamegoro Sakuma in 19th century. It is produced in Tsuchiyu Onsen, Fukushima Pref.
Structure: The head is tightly inserted into the body.
The heads are quite small and adorned with a janome bull's eye-like pattern that consists of concentric circles often with the center left open. Drooping nose, top of the head features a serpent's eye pattern. The body has a potter's wheel (lathework pattern)
