Ten-Ten Bowls is our series of small bowls of various expressions.
These bowls were originally intended to be carried as matcha bowls for
drinking tea while traveling. Although small, each piece is carefully
handmade using the same techniques that are used for matcha bowls,
allowing you to fully appreciate the subtleties incorporated into the
glazes and painting of Kyoto Ware / Kiyomizu Ware.
The small, cute shape of these bowls fits comfor tably into your
hands and they can be used for a variety of purposes, including to hold
rice, soup, dishes, and sweets, not to mention tea. These bowls are
perfect for the artful presentation of meals either as a single serving or
in combination with other items.

The hand-fired “Mitate” gla ze sometimes
results in forms of expression that exceed
the creator's imagination. These forms are
considered to be the central aspect of the
vessel and are an object to be appreciated
slowly, just like a pleasing landscape or the
view from a mountaintop.
